About Jennifer

Hello and hugs! I’m Jennifer and have always been told I’m an incredibly private person. Try to Facebook me and you’ll see what I mean. Yeah, I know, and yet, I’m writing (publicly) to help me process what happened to my brain and to share my recovery. What else can I say? I’m trying to live each day intentionally. Actually, that’s not true. I have to live each day with intention because given my current health, these decisions matter in ways I never imagined possible.

What else? I love readIMG_4257ing. I can’t leave a word puzzle untouched. I’ve always been a more quiet, can’t turn my brain off kind of person and I love being with my friends and family though I have been known to be much rowdier than you’d ever guess. I try to be a good sister, a fun aunt, an attentive daughter and a reliable friend. My faith has not always been real or deep but I am so grateful that I now feel a profound connection to God. I love being alone in nature. I can’t pass a recipe in a magazine without tearing it out and adding it to an overwhelming collection that I may never cook my way through.

And I hope I keep growing and each day get closer to being the kind, loving and gracious person I aspire to be.

    Hi Jennifer,
I’m here in San Diego reading your blog, with Grace always, and finding it so interesting. Easy for me to say I realize, but truly Jennifer, you are so articulate

  2. Hi there, I love your blog, and we have something in common…Often, I will tear out magazine recipes and add them to my endless stack of those I’ve yet to cook/bake, but I promise myself, once again, that this time will be different! lol.

    • Oh, that is so kind of you! I’m still a blogging newcomer but I’m finding it a wonderful way to keep my spirits up and to connect with others! By the way, the Moleskine recipe journal is a really beautiful notebook to transfer any of those “keeper” recipes.
